Fat Kid Food Co., a popular food truck in Oregon, represented the state in 2025 when it appeared on Food Network’s hit series The Great Food Truck Race.
The Southern Oregon food truck started as a former ambulance before becoming one of the area’s most celebrated places to eat after it represented Oregon in Season 18 of the long-running competition.

Known throughout Southern Oregon for their Pacific Rim–style street food, smash burgers, and hot mess sandwiches, Fat Kid Food Co. brought a bold mix of creativity, flavor, and hometown pride to the competition.
The food truck’s team included Chaz McKenna, Tristan Keroles, and Tristan “Milkshake” Compton, who appeared as contestants on the show, showcasing their signature dishes and cooking style to a national audience.
Before earning a spot on The Great Food Truck Race, Fat Kid Food Co. built a loyal following with pop-ups in Ashland, Grants Pass, and Medford, quickly becoming one of the most popular food trucks in Oregon.
What happened in “The Great Food Truck Race” Season 18?
Season 18, titled The Great Food Truck Race: Truckin’ Awesome, featured nine food truck teams from across the U.S, including:

- Nishaan from Brooklyn, New York
- Stop Drop N Roll from Springfield, New Jersey
- Burger Walla from Newark, New Jersey
- Cooking with Que from Detroit, Michigan
- Eat My Biscuits from Atlanta, Georgia
- G’s Cheesesteaks from Staten Island, New York
- Good Fortune Company from Memphis, Tennessee
- Rising Tiger from Longmont, Colorado
The teams competed across eight episodes, each set in a new city with a unique theme, culminating in an exciting finale where the top two food trucks went head-to-head for the grand prize.
